The Lodger Landlord Fixed Fee Advice Service

Although there is a lot of information on this web-site, we cannot possibly cover all situations. Understandably there will be unusual cases, and you will be worried and want to know where you stand legally.

The fixed fee advice service has been set up for these situations. It is only available for lodger situations, so please don’t submit questions about your divorce, neighbour dispute, or house purchase! Any instructions sent to us for advice on situations which do not relate to a lodger will be rejected and any fee refunded.

Note also that as Tessa is an English solicitor, she can only advise on problems in England and Wales UK.  She is not qualified to help with problems in other countries such as Scotland, Ireland and the United States.

The fixed fee advice service costs £75.00. This is inclusve of VAT and is on the basis that reading the papers and doing the advice will take Tessa in the region of one hour or less. If it is clear that this is not going to be possible Tessa will give the best advice she can in the circumstances, and let you know what further work needs to be done (and, if it is something we can do for you, what our charges will be).

In the vast majority of cases however we will be able to do the advice within the fixed fee.
